Never gave it a thought til you brought it to my attention, Linda. Been photographing this building for over 10-15 years and have never found anyone to ask about the history. However, looking at it now, I see that likelihood. Will be back up that way sometime in the next year and will make an effort to find out...would love to get permission to photograph the interior!! It is behind fences so I don't encroach.
