It makes me think, airstream conversion.

Practical, but unusual.

At 5 to 6 bucks a gallon of gas...all RV's are impractical right now.

Ditto.

Maybe "bloated", even.

I remember viewing the video that highlighted the vehicle based on a jet plane being driven. I would not be surprised if would be similar.

It did remind me of the time I rode up in a Peterbilt.

A couple days ago, an ad popped up when I opened UHH that showed Small House RVs. I wish I tagged it.

But in attempt to find it, I got this interesting site: https://tinyhousefor.us/thows/the-best-tiny-houses-on-wheels/

I think previously it was a pile of sheet metal and pop rivets.

Several thoughts.
Old aircraft shell?
For the 1964 Worlds Fair there was a vehicle called the Super Liner??? It was on “Bitchin Rides.”
A repurposed Quonset hut?
Just plain hand-built body on an existing chassis?

That people is clearly a prototype of a RV, motor home, designed and to be built by your Federal government. Later models will be electrical powered, i.e., they will have a rear mounted diesel electrical generator providing 240 volts. Legislation will be passed to ensure that no other RV motor home will be manufactured by private industry.

I had an uncle who converted an old greyhound bus into an rv before rv's became popular. I never saw it but my grandparents talked about it all the time.

It’s too angular to have been part of an aircraft fuselage originally. And there aren’t any flush rivets visible. But it might have been constructed from aircraft fuselage sheets attached to a frame. Creative but Weird.

I'm guessing it was the fuselage of an old C-119 cargo aircraft.

It's a strictly home built camper that is 40 years old now. It has a 1992 Cummins 6 cylinder diesel in it and he had a major breakdown due to a bad batch of fuel one time. Poor guy replaced all the injectors, injection pump fuel pump and filters secondary fuel pump fuel lines ect ect. Finally figured out it was a bad batch of fuel he got at the Grand canyon. Neat and nice fellow.

In 1953 a neighbor in Riverside, CA had what he called a 'House Car' It was old at that time and I had never heard of an 'RV' because they weren't around then or I wasn't tuned into 'RV's. His 'House Car' was professional made with a 'V' shaped front window. Was more square all over and made in aluminium. The owner was so proud of it! He said not many folks have one.

I would sure like to have a photo, but I was only 14-16 at the time and didn't have a camera.

The photo shown seems like it was a handmade, homemade job, but it has brought back memories of what I call the 1st 'RV's.

Hope someone can elevate mt story a little more accurately because I was only a teenager.
