Fast Friends

I met these two gentleman at a jazz concert in our downtown, and learned that they did in fact become fast friends, at a nearby homeless shelter. I enjoyed talking with them for a few minutes and before I left they asked me to take their picture ... so I did!

There is something about the appearance of this photograph that just doesn't seem to make it. It's well composed and tells a story but the word garish comes to mind.
