lol...hats do not cause baldness.

Though folks going bald...tend to wear hats.

I started wearing mind backwards when I became a catcher in little league at age 9. Would also turn up the bill aka Yogi Berra. and most other catchers ( Hats nowadays just won't stay up.). Continued through Babe Ruth league and Lorain class D- ball (American legion) at 18 switched to 3rd, base trying to save knees. Hat now goes backwards for taking pictures or working on car. Yes I am bald but I doubt it was from that. Ken Griffey I think started it for a lot of young kids.

They prevent sunburn on your balding stop.they keep your hair from looking like Einstein's hair which by the way I live in the 5th windest city in the nation.when cutting the yard they keep the grass from getting into your hair.they provide shade for my eyes.i never use sunglasses and people associate with you when traveling.we just got back from Vegas and everywhere we went people would give me the thumbs up and would bump knuckles with me saying me too.i was wearing longhorn cap which by the way they beat UTSA 41 to 20 Saturday night.

I agree with Najataagihe about using it when taking photos, but I also wear it backwards when I’m in the sun and my neck is about to get burned.

Solved the problem early on when my ears got sunburned. Bought a Toyo (Japanese paper) hat with a three inch brim. It is flexible so that if I want to take a vertical shot the brim just bends out of the way and returns when I take the camera down. Extremely durable, mine is over ten years old, kind of rough looking but who cares about that. It works, vertical shots, no problem, sunburned ears, no problem.
