Hello everybody, I am sadly sharing an event here in New Zealand that occurred recently, to a Photography club on their outing, an great day out that resulted in five members not coming home. If you're a believer in prayer, please pray for the families. If you're not, at least spare a moment's thought for them, and the survivors. https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/129852556/kaikura-boat-tragedy-victim-susan-cade-dedicated-kayaker-dancer-photographer Best wishes to all of you around the world. Andrew.

The thing I don't understand is the article says most if not all of those onboard had lifejackets. Does that mean that some died in spite of having lifejackets?

Yeah. the ones that drowned were trapped inside the vessel. The ones that survived were fortunate to be out on deck at the time the vessel turned over.
