This is a grouping of seven photos that I managed to capture during one of the USAF Thunderbirds passes in their incredible demonstration. I have to say the camera worked much better then I thought was possible with a bridge camera, through out the day. My only problem is that when this camera does not work it really fails with what I want with a camera, now this is not totally the camera and I will take probably 70% of the blame in this but it does have it's limitations when you start to lose the light.

I thought so yes they are a bit noisy compared to the Canon 50d I took along but unless I press my nose up to the screen any more these old eyes can't really tell....lol

Considering the limitations of this type of camera, those images turned out well. These bridge cameras do quite well, but are not as flexible as an interchangeable lens camera, however, used within their design parameters, they perform quite well. The one shortcoming of bridge cameras is low light performance, mainly due to the small sensor size. The ones with the 1” tupe sensor to better than those with the 1/2.3” sensor, though. I have a Nikon P900 and for some things, it’s excellent, but it’s not great at all things. I happen to think the FZ1000 is a very good camera. Thanks for posting the airshow.
