hangman45 these images can not be as good as they are, you did not spend enough money and went with an add-on lens. Amazingly, the results, are excellent!!

Could it be the tiny depth of field of this lens attachment making it difficult to get the focus point in the perfect position.

Wondering what lens you used the 250 on. I have had great images with this Raynox.

Yes it is the tiny DOF that gives me issues after years of trying to perfect my technique with standard macro it is like starting all over. Have not worked with the Raynox enough to get used to it not sure I ever will I am going to get another Laowa 2x lens before spring

Using on my 105mm sigma macro shaky hands and slight breeze make very shallow DOF difficult

Hangman45, your work in the field is exceptional. There is a macro and then there is an extreme macro and the trials and tribulations between the two are worlds apart. We can get away with many things at 1:1 that are not forgiving at 2:1 and beyond where not only is the subject highly magnified, but so is everything else.

I enjoy your work and I am confident that you will take images with the Laowa 2X that will jump off the screen with sharpness and detail.

For the short time I had the Laowa loved it super sharp great color hated when it developed sticky aperture and had to return it and at the time was out of stock and Adorama had no idea when it would be so I spent money elsewhere but will replace it before spring. I have always got good results with tubes and even reversing another lens at end of 100mm macro just never had any luck with diopter style add ons they all make DOF so shallow that makes hard for me to use in my style macro.
