Looks great. There was a microbrewery in San Diego that served smoked salmon Fish and Chips. They were the best I have ever had

Not a big fish fan here....although I am have Perch for supper tonight. I bread it and put it in the oven. Shore Lunch used to make a decent breading for oven frying but they do not make that one anymore.
A local fish place is called Catfish Charlies.

This is true...the last time I had fish and chips was in Berlin, Germany in 1981.
It's not that I don't like them...I do. It's just that they aren't very high up on my list of must haves.
Last night, for example, I sauteed some scallops in butter with a little garlic powder, plated it and covered it with Stoffer's fettuccini alfredo.
It wasn't photogenic, but tasted heavenly.

"scallops in butter" ...That got my attention! Then you go and up the ante by puttin' that with Alfedo Fettucini!! OMGosh - That is an AWESOME dish!! Thank you, flip1948!
