Just went out the garage door and saw this guy resting in the sun. I've never seen one of these before. I've seen a lot of bright green grasshoppers though but none this colour.
Quite large as well, a bit over 3" (80mm)

Great shots!

He looks like some of the ones from the southern U.S. Pretty common here in the summer. We have the green ones also but these are more common.

We have them in WA, we’re a lot more sunny over here. There’s other smaller species too, but these big ones are around.
