Karma joined us as a feral kitten nearly a year ago. We are fortunate to have been chosen by her not just because she poses well but for how she's integrated with our other two cats.
Still skittish a lot of times but when the house is quiet she's never far from my wife.

Ultra-charming, especially the tucked front paws

Beautiful kitty. Thanks for careing for her. We have a feral that adopted us at our campsite at the NPS campground on Ocracoke Island NC. He rode home in a plastic milk crate over 2 days. He is 11yo now and has been a nice cat, scared of other people, even regular visitors, all these years. Thanks for sharing your photos.

I suppose she may just be timid for life but that's okay! She's a keeper and adds to our life most every day!
Great story about how yours became part of the family too!! It takes a village right?!

It actually did take a village. It was a year after the outer banks had some bad weather. A lot of the roads were damaged, so there were very few campers there. All the other visitors would stop and see how he was doing, including the park ranger. There is a lot to the whole story, but we were in touch with a local cat rescue lady. We put together a photo album from the time he accepted us until about 3 years later. We gave it to the rescue people and one lady cried. Now he is famous to these lovely people there. Skeeter.

She has been with me for a little over 8 months and is turning 1 year old this week. I think we're finally settling into a routine where I get to be boss every so often

The latest, photo'd yesterday just before I saw your topic, has that "Don't mess with me, lady" vibe.

Beautiful kitty, Rob. Being chosen by a cat is always special--for both you and the cat.

Love that look!

I've had two beloved tabbies--Leonidas and Bill the Cat. Both were rescues from the local SPCA, and both were special.

Wonderful story and a great looking cat to boot! I like the image but the story is awesome! Thanks for doing your part and going above and beyond to help!
