It was Halloween Weekend, 1976, and I was working in the college union as an AV technician, running a horror film marathon on the projection TV from a 3/4U Sony tape deck.
I'm sure we showed the 1929 film, *Un Chien Andalou* by Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí, but I doubt this moment came from that.
I've hated horror films ever since...

That image makes me think of "The Legend of Boggy Creek", which came out in 1972. I remember it as being pretty creepy!

No, it isn't. But we showed that one four times that day. It had a certain appeal for those who like razor blades slashing through eyeballs. I wasn't one of them.
