I posted this image and question over in Street Photography by mistake but got some interesting comments - what do you think the answer to this question is?

Photo taken at Edinburgh's Camera Obscura and converted to B/W.

The lower one is the reflection.

My observation is that the ring is on a different finger between the two images which possibly indicates two models. Also, the sleeve is wrinkled differently on the lower image. They could both be reflections.
That’s my guess…

It's the reflection of one hand - my husband's.

I agree with Longshadow.
The lower arm and hand is slightly distorted which can happen in a reflection on a liquid surface. Also, the wedding ring is normally worn on the left hand in America, whereas if the lower hand was not the reflection the ring on the right hand ring finger goes against tradition. Furthermore, a reflection is almost never above the original object.

The correct answer is the lower one. I'm not at all sure why the reflection looks so wonky - I didn't do any manipulating, it is what it is, possibly b/c the Camera Obscura is a place built around optical illusions and the distortion is part of that.

The reflection is a different "angle of view".
