In The 1940s, Men Dressed In Shorts And Cowboy Boots Served Up To Women At A Drive Through In Dallas, Texas "Log Lodge Tavern"
My girlfriends and I would go there. Please bring it back.
Sounds like a good idea to me, as long as they are young.

A jumble of thoughts sprang to mind:
1. Nice picture in B&W
2. As a guy, I thought "They look pretty silly", do women think the same about women dressed similarly?
3. How many male customers frequented the place?
4. I've seen a number of drive-up coffee huts where the female servers are dressed in bikinis. There are "No photography" signs on some of them.
George
The boots look kinda silly but I guess they are better than flip flops!😂

Thank is a fun photo. I guess men can't do roller skates.

Now that's discrimination
I grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. We didn't do cowboy boots😊
Unbelievable! When I was a kid, there was a local drive-in restaurant with girls on roller skates. We also had roller rinks.
The two guys in the photo sure look like Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell) and Tony Dow (Wally) from the TV show Leave it to Beaver.

Except they weren't grown men in the 40's.

The two women in the background appear to be dressed alike...waitresses perhaps? So, likely, the men waiters served the women, and the women waitresses served the men. What a concept!
