I watched a photographer on YouTube last night talking about shooting at high ISO - like 12,800. He said he was getting very good results with his Fuji and then processing with Topaz DeNoise AI. I thought I had that, but I wasn't sure, so I used "Everything" to do a search. Yeah, I guess I have some Topaz products.

I see that I have a Topaz folder in the ON1 Stuff folder. I'll have to move that.

Bored? I don't even know the meaning of the word. Let me add that to my list.

I spend a few hours on the computer in the morning - UHH, email, etc. Then I go about my daily chores/fun.

If you are an ON1 user and up to date it has a noise reduction product as well called NoNoise. It is as good or better than Topaz DeNoise. Even better it's part of the raw developer. Those Topaz apps are over 2 years behind the current releases. It will cost you as much to upgrade them as to buy the ON1 release which has NoNoise and the new ai resize tool which is better in my opinion than Topaz Gigapixel.

Yes, I seem to have some ON1 files.

My Topaz AI update license ends at the end of this month... I will debate renewing... confronted with a question I have asked myself many times even before AI, "can it get better, and is great good enough... how much better can it get?"

Jerry make your shuffling and sorting of the confused deck easier. Uninstall deNoise AI, then reinstall and pay close attention to the destination folder.

The license ends?! Do I have to wait online at the Department of Motor Vehicles? I don't use software that has to be paid for over and over again.

These are just the installation files. No need to move anything, just run them where they are. It’ll ask where you want the install. These are older files but I think if you run them it will ask if you want the most recent version. If you’ve never installed I think you can get a free trial.

The software will keep working, you just won’t get free updates after a year.

Retirement means boredom, at least for some people. For others it means an opportunity to explore experiences and ideas that simply seem interesting.

Some times I shoot birds in the early morning and often end up ISO 12,800. Worst case, I run denoise and then Sharpen, excellent results. I found these two plus gigapixel take care of all my needs.

You bring up a good point.
