You need to get a life and look at your own practices. I ride a scooter in the grocery store and I am overweight, and I hope I don't impede you shopping time by my painful shopping trip. I have two knees that are bone on bone due to being born with bad cartlidge and sciatic nerve problems. So don't judge all riders by your own narrow minded views! Get over it!
Often, in the grocery store, someone will be standing, just looking and I need to pass. I say "excuse me please" and if they just stand there and ignore me, I say "thank you" as I walk on by! If someone says "excuse me" to ME, I say "any time" or "sure". I at least let them know I heard them.

Thereās a difference between narrow minded and knowing right from wrong. I have no problem with people who truly need the scooters. My best friend has bad knees (recently operated on) who used a scooter and was overweight because of lack of exercise because of his knees. Like him, Iām sure when you walk to your car you limp around, maybe use a cane and have difficulty getting into and out of you car.
The fat b!tch Iām talking about lived with my adult daughter, sponging off of her, using her electricity, water, car and gas with no compensation and had absolutely no problem whatsoever getting up and down my daughterās steps. When her overweight white trash daughter wanted to move in with my daughter, I had a serious talk with my daughter about the difference between helping someone in need and being used by a bum.
My mother had both her knees replaced, my brother had an injured one replaced and Iāve had sciatic problems as well. You have nothing at all to be ashamed of and I truly hope your situation improves. And no, people like I have no issue with folks like you who truly need assistance. Iāve helped folks on scooters struggling to get something off a shelf or put the stuff into their trunk. Iām sure it can be hard having to ask someone for help.
However, I do have a problem with lazy bums using scooters that folks such as yourself truly need. Iāve been there with my friend when he needed one and none were available because people less than half his age were using them and then walked to their car with no difficulty whatsoever.
I truly hope your situation improves. My friend said that his new knees gave him his life back. Good luck.

This brings to mind a day in the mid 80s. I needed a few oval headed bolts, 3ā long and with nickel plating. I went to an āold timeā sort of hardware store hunting for them. I was part way down the aisle when a gent asked me if he could help me find something. I held up the bolt and he immediately asked āhow many would you like sir?ā I stood in awe, small hardware stores were becoming extinct in the big cities, I went to this one with very high hopes! That he knew exactly what it was is now lost to time. I bought a box of 50! Since then, I have amused myself by looking to see if there is anything remotely like that bolt in nickel. Yes, I still have a few left in the box,Iām just curious if they are still available.

I think there is a minimum weight requirement to enter. That's why they have "Greeters."
Hahahahahahaha!
Where I worked , the ladder trucks had a maximum weight load for the buckets of 300 pounds. This was designed for the āaverage size workerā including tools. One fellow was too heavy and a re-enforced bucket was ordered. He soon āoutgrewā that one as well. For a laugh, I made a company document that read āin order to keep employees within the required weight limits, a scale is being installed at the door and ID cards will have to be scanned to enter. Should an employee be over the limit, access will be denied for 30 days, this should give said employee time to drop down to acceptable weight.ā This was for a laugh of course! The funniest part of this was that it didnāt phase the offender. It was the lean guys that were outraged about having to stand on a weight scale for accessā¦

Yes jerry, its an annoying occurrence. A few weeks ago I went to our local 'card' shop to buy a Birthday card, and a couple were just staring at the section I wanted to be, I waited about a minute..no movement, so I walked around the shop pretending to browse and then went back..and they were still staring, I then asked if I could just lean in to pick a card....The look I got, you'd think I asked them to hand over their money!

That's what I find odd. People are blocking an area, and they get annoyed when you politely ask them to make room for you.
I did my best to teach my kids right. As a parent, thereās no better feeling than having someone tell you how polite your children are.
As you get older you generally donāt care whether people like you or not. I can be a polite gentleman or I can be a real horseās ass depending upon how you treat me. Weāre those people blocking my way, I first would have asked politely to let me through. If that didnāt work I would have told them to move there sorry a$$es out of the way.
