I love my Nikon D850. It has been everything I dreamed a camera could be and more...until now. Now there is some sort of data overlay I can't remove from each shot depiction on the rear screen rendering it useless. Hopefully there is an easy glitch that perhaps I caused. But a base reset of the three key buttons doesn't fix it nor does a battery removal time out nor reformatting or replacing the memory chips. Called Nikon, no response so far but they don't work weekends anymore. Is there an easy fix or explanation? Hopefully...
Perhaps you can describe the problem more clearly?
It's in the setup screen.

Post a pic of the rear screen.
While in Live View mode, which you apparently are already using, I believe you press the "Info" button to change the screen display to your liking.

I believe your Info button will toggle the display. Page 4 of your D850 user manual's 'introduction' chapter gives a graphic of the back of the camera and a reference to all the page numbers in the manual where usage / functionality of the Info button are discussed.
Another possibility is that in playback mode you are rolling through the various information screens. Toggle up or down on multicontrol circle pad to reach the unadulterated review screen.
By the way this has no effect on your resulting images in computer.

Seems he means this:
Just scroll thru the playback screens.

More scrolling. Several screens on tap.
