I have always maintained that there is money to be made raising oil snakes.

I use these two types of snake oil in my gem cutting. They are used to lubricate the lap and diamond during polishing. Lol

Those labels don't say much to someone unfamiliar with gems.

"Scratching & lap itch" sounds like a medical product.

Kind of a specialty item. If you need it you know what it is. Lol. You would have to know the owner of the company. He is a crazy funny guy. A retired basa metals engineer. Company name of Gearloose if that tells you anything. He is at the forefront of lap design. He got us away from the old copper laps and tin and typemetal laps into the 21st century products. The first winner was called a Batt lap. For vat shit crazy. Lol
Scratching and lap itch are medical conditions. They will drive you nuts for sure.

Everyone should have a sense of humor. I worked with one unfortunate guy who never thought anything was funny. I'd make what I thought was a funny comment, and he'd reply with something serious.

I agree. Humour makes life great!!! If you want to smile a little look up Gearloose on the net and read his warranty. And some of his comments about people who try to screw him. He is a gem for sure. Lol. You aren't to bad yourself. Lol

I find myself laughing at things all through the day. That tends to get me strange looks in stores, though.

There are several stories about the origin of that term, but this one seems to be legit.

Well, it turned out they really do sell snake oil.
Snake oil and other unusual stuffs (to me).

.

As promised:

The photo is a vinyl floor of a hospital.
I find it unusual because it is a hospital and the design looks like bacteria on a petri dish.
The shadow is my hand holding the celphone and the light is the ceiling light reflecting on the shinny floor, broken by many scratches. A joint of the vinyl can be seen on the far right.

So someone designing the hospital had a sense of humor.

Hope you were only in a hospital for a brief visit, nothing serious.
