Hi Retired CPO

Several million years ago there were large carnivorous flightless birds (got up to 10 feet tall) which huge beaks for killing and tearing flesh. Animals the size of humans would definitely be on the menu. They are called "terror birds" for obvious reasons but fortunately they all died out around 1.8 million years ago (they are also called Phorusrhacids).

Yep! Thanks Ballard. I was aware of the "Terror Birds" Fortunately, they were gone before Humans arrived on the scene, but not very long before, geologically speaking! But we (Humans) did have to contend with huge Bears, Cats, Wolves etcetera. A lot of people don't realize that the species that produced Humans came very close to extinction, as did the Human species itself, several times.

Thanks, Sylvia! I'm surprised at the feedback I'm getting from the GBH set. I'm glad you liked them!
