These "bin chickens" are becoming a real pain over here. All the dams, lakes and other water areas I frequent to do bird photography are being taken over by them. As they are an Australian native they can't be thinned out easily so I'm not sure what the answer is...a lot of the birds I used to see in these places have disappeared because of the take-over.

We had the same problem here a few years ago with Snow Geese ( I believe that was the culprit ) They finally removed the bag limit during the water fowl season, since I haven't heard anything about them I'm guessing that worked.

If they were edible the problem would solve itself where I live, Ron. Nice images, though.

That's sad to see Ron. Not sure what they can do since they are native. Nice shots

Nice shots Ron. We have the same problem here with Canada Geese. They take over golf courses and city parks. In many locations they don't even migrate anymore.
