While I was watching a Snowy Egret look for food I spotted this Gull out of the corner of my eye pecking at something on the ground. Since I was getting no immediate action from the Snowy Egret I started paying attention to the Gull. Then he did it, poked his head down and brought this nice juicy, what looks like a type of crab. He spotted me and flew off to another area but still close behind some rocks. It was there I was able to capture these two photos. Another Gull was watching for a slip up but my Gull maintained control.

Please feel free to make any comments.

Hi Dennis. Yup. Just messing with my phone and saw it pop up. Love seagulls.

Very interesting capture of a seagull with a crab amid the rocks.

Thank you very much. Lately we have been at the beach about 6:00 AM and have found the tide farther out than we are used to seeing. Seals are on the rocks, different shells scattered on the sand and rocks, birds letting me get much closer because they are so involved with finding food etc. This morning I took numerous photos, still to be posted, of a Snowy Egret who let me kneel down about 10 feet from him because he was looking in tide pools for food. It worked out great because he got food and I got him.

Have a great day tomorrow,

Dennis

Nicely done, Dennis. Crab is always good for lunch or breakfast.

Thanks very much kpmac. I always appreciate your comments.

As a crab eater I could probably eat crab about anytime. Add in any type of raw or cooked clams, oysters, and other seafood delicacies and I could be a happy camper.
