I did not find my post from yesterday in the photo gallery so this is a repost.
This beetle came in and landed on the wall next to the door when letting the dogs out for their last run last night. With an always ready and waiting pill bottle nearby, I was able to collect the beetle for today's focus stacking session.
I choose the optics based on the size of the specimen and what I want to showcase. The 50mm enlarger lens mounted on a bellows worked well in filling the frame with the subject and this is the result of the series of images stacked.
Amazing...always love your posts.
The original post still exists, it is currently on page two of the Gallery.

Thanks, Longshadow. I didn't realize that there were multiple pages in the photo gallery. I learned something new today!
I saw it the first time. It's just as good this time, sippy.

I just looked... there are 11,073 pages in the gallery.
I guess nothing is dropped.
I just look at Newest Topics.

Thanks for reposting…. I missed it the first time and that would’ve been a shame. I also enjoy your posts.
