If you’re taking fireworks, best to use a tripod, set your focus on manual and preset it to roughly where they are taking off. If you don’t have a remote, you can set your camera to bulb. When you depress the shutter button, hold it for the entire flight of the rocket and explosion. You can record the entire flight of the rocket and additional rockets. This works very well if the rockets go in multiple directions.

p.3 Wonderfully captured

Looking forward to seeing you capture up on that mountain.

There were fireworks popping in all directions, not the easiest captures - nor the best.

lhammer43, water in a bowl?

No, it is a layered shot combining a landscape from 31,000 ft in an airplane and an artistic impression I made playing around with a bad photo of something. The target was in a Nevada landscape. I’ve always wondered what it was🤔🤔❓

Thank you for your comment. The Flag is not part of the monument, it is located further away. I was able to get the flag in the center of the monument. The hard part was waiting for a gust of wind. Finally after an hour there was a gust and I got the picture.
