Has anyone shot pictures at any of these stores. Seems to me I saw someone on here doing just that. Flowers and such. Just wondering.

Just seen a post in the past few days where they went to Lowes and shot in the garden center.

I did a few years ago, very early in the morning and I asked permission of the clerk first. Keep 'em on your side

There used to be a man on the UHH, he went by the name of "Snapshot" that use to shoot great shots of flowers in stores, unfortunately he passed away a few years ago, I still miss him. He was an expert at shooting flowers.

I've used a phone to shoot photos of products and prices for later discussion with the boss (I think the last set was of hose reels) and never had anybody raise an issue.

Since I always have my cell phone on me, I will take a few pictures while at Lowe's garden department.

Why would they?? They are in the business of customer satisfaction.

It depends! For the most part they don't say anything but sometimes they will stop you if they suspect that you try to document something they do wrong or to copy them for your own business. They do have the right to do so.

I have seen people taking pictures there. A tripod and a set of lights would not be welcome, though. Come to think of it, I've taken cell phone pictures to show my wife some floor tiles.

What I wonder about are a couple of guys who go to these stores shooting video to tell us about sales. The employees see them, and they don't seem to mind. One is Jeff Ostrow.

That was my post: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-741576-1.html

I go Lowe's, Home Depot, Menard's, and local garden stores to capture images of flowers, etc.

As IMAGEMEISTER notes, backgrounds and lighting can be challenging. I'm not above moving planters, pots, etc., about to get the best image, and as in the wild, everything goes back to where I found it.

I've never been questioned, nor asked not to take pictures.

If I find something I really like I buy it and take it home where I CAN control the lighting and backround .......

Lowes is much closer than the nearest botanical gardens for me ! ! - a serious consideration with today's fuel prices.
