New bird at our house.

This one has been here for a few days now competing with the hummingbirds for our feeder. This afternoon there was an opportunity to get a few pictures of him/her. Unfortunately I had just come back from trying for some scenic views and still had the 18-55 lens mounted. With no time to change lenses or sneak outside these shots were taken through our tinted windows, so the colors are off a bit and there is a quite significant enlargement.

At the moment my bird books are in the midst of a group of my wife and friends discussing the latest book they have read along with several other topics. Males not welcome, I have been banished to the den.

It will be a while before research can be done. Were I more organized the books would be here with me.

In the meantime any informkation you have would be welcome.

Ron
