A slight redo in the editing for this week on Create 52. I posted the original in 2017 here on UHH.
A mobile plant creature on an alien planet is attacked by a pack of small predators.
Or maybe just a Dandelion set up for tabletop macro and a learning experiment in focus stacking and then tweaking the colors. That background is a dark blue microfiber cloth taped to the back side of a small box cut to only have three sides with half the cloth on the bottom with the dandelion positioned on it. You can tell I was just starting to learn focus stacking the manual way because some parts are not in focus. Lighting was two small led cluster lights. After this experiment, I bought a Helicon FB Tube for Canon which does the focus shift and shoots automatically after you set it up.
Canon 6D, Tamron 180 f/3.5 Macro, 1/5 @ f/7.1, ISO-400
Rig on a tripod with a Manfrotto Geared head for control.
