BTW the green traffic barrier is really crazy green (not from PP), sort of a shaggy dayglow version of astro turf.

Our downtown benefited from a great lack of federal funds during the hey day of large "urban renewal" movements. Therefor we have a very classic looking downtown. Merge that with the covid inspired "sidewalk scene" and things can be visually interesting.
Even before covid, with a less extensive sidewalk scene, I would often see photo students and hobbyists prowling around the area squinting thru their cameras seeking that great composition.
