I noticed on one of two images, the little triangle in the upper left corner of the histogram is cyan color whereas normally it is dark blue. Can anyone tell me, what is the significance of this?

Note Cyan colored triangle

Note Blue colored triangle

You've got clipping in the Dark Shadows. Notice how the histogram stack up on the left side, this results in lack of detail in the dark tones.

The blue triangle indicates clipping in the blue channel. The cyan triangle would be clipping in both the blue and green channels.
