Nice! Sure is a lot of negative camber on the right front of 39.

Yep, I get that, but it’s the only car in the shots with that much negative. The object is to have the tire maybe 1/2-3/4 degree negative with respect to the track under full loading. And body roll (surprised if a race car has ore than a degree or two) males an a-arm suspension go more negative. That looks like more like 2.5-3 degrees, never seen that much on the front of a car set up to run on banking. Take a look at the Winston Cup cars running at Charlotte, which has steep enough banking it’s hard to walk on it (been there, done that), and they don’t run anything like that much.

Seems to be the norm for the metric chassis cars in that class

Hmmm. Wonder if they use pyrometers to measure temp across the face of the tread of the cars to set camber - we always did.

Just talked to my brother in law who has fielded race winning street stocks and the norm for a metric chassis street stock at this track is -6 or so!

Then I’ll have to respect the opinion of an actual racer, but I don’t see why a metric chassis should need such a drastic setting compared to other cars that run on banking, but I’m open to learn! In the end, the pyrometer tells the story. I’ve done a lot of suspension tuning, but on cars that turn both left and right in a race

Enjoying your images Chip.

I don't know why either. The other cars in the original pics were 4 cyl Mini Stocks so that's a whole different thing.
