I like the whole treatment here: the softness, flower position and muted colours. Lovely composition.

Rules are made to be broken. In this case, having the subject dead in the middle of the frame works perfectly. It is also evident that a lot of thought was put into the background so that it would compliment the subject nicely. This is a success.
