Will need to repeat this at various sun positions, but please offer critiques for this image of this particular moment.
This is a phone cam sketch for something I will be able to revisit to work on further. It happens every sunny day ! Comments are verrrrry welcome.
it's different. For me it is really busy. I am not sure what you want me to look at. Maybe if you have the ability to time the shots and you could get a subject that stands out then the shadows would be helpful

I was thinking about your post and then you went and changed the image. No fair!

Well I edited it differently. A sketch for a work in progress after all. Acoarst, after an hour a post becomes locked down by the forum software. So try again, it cant change any more. Sorry about messing you up like that.
Or, maybe you were gonna tell me how great the first version was, but you cant stand looking at the new one ;-)
Anywho, just for you SRT, below is what Im pretty sure is the earlier version. Just dont bother telling me that my reflection in the window. All else is fair game !

But, but, ... the reflection added a mysterious element. And you cropped it out in the second version!
First glance, I see a very cool light/shadow pattern on the wall. Graphic visual appeal. But then, if I stretch my brain and engage in mental gymnastics, I wonder what this light pattern is doing to the "reality" of that wall.
But, on further thought, given some of your comments on numerous other topics, I wonder, is he playing with us? Further deliberation required.....
I like it a lot. The patterns are mesmerizing!

Its a phone pic, not purely SOOPhone, but all editing is done within the phone. IOW, freedom to "play with you" is very limited.
Below is a truly untouched SOOP of the scene. Feel free to edit (all are invited).

What follows is my opinion only and should not be construed as fact:
Iteration #1: Interesting study of pattern, repetition and texture. But, what's the subject? What is the story? The photo doesn't engage me without those items.
Iteration #2 & #3: Ah -- that's better. The inclusion of the reflection of the person in the photo gives the photo a subject and a story.

Very glad you found some amusement in comparing the three. But the second and third are just part of an invite to SRT101 (or anyone else) to edit as they choose.
The image in the opening post is really the only one intentionally submitted for "official" critique. But UHH tradion is acoarst "anything goes".
Just to be clear, I had no story or main subject in mind so your take on the primary image is in line with my intent. You saw exactly what Im showing you !
You are off to a good start using shadows as a graphical element. The sense of busyness/clashing comes from other lines. In particular the window blinds are a similar width.
