N ot much to photograph yet, but this fine fellow spent the morning high in a tree in our back yard singing his heart out for a mate to show up. I used my Nikon P900 and zoomed in on him. He was in the shadows in a very shaded area, so I just set the camera to Auto and let it do its thing. It only shoots in JPEG, and I thought it actually did a pretty fair job. He’s the most colorful bird to show up so far this spring. Looks better in download.

Thank you. Ever since they cut down all the trees behind our house and built a bunch of houses, the birds in our yard have become pretty scarce. We can always depend on the robins to show up, though.
