In the lyrics of what song is "through the fields of clover"? Mr. Google will not be of assistance for this one, which should be more difficult.

I could hum the tune if that would help.

I found it right away on Google. Maybe you didn't add "song lyric" to search for the phrase.

If you add song lyric, Google will find more - but you weren't supposed to resort to Google.

You didn't say we weren't supposed to resort to Google, you said Google wouldn't be of any assistance. That led me to believe you had looked on Google and the answer didn't show up.

John is right - you never said we weren't supposed to use Google. And how would you know anyway if we didn't tell you?

Sorry - it doesn't show up if you don't put in "song lyrics". I attempt to check these out pretty carefully!

I first heard that song when my grandmother would play it on the piano and sing it back in the early 1950s. Catchy tune. She was a farm wife who could play several different instruments and had the ability to play any song she heard. She had 7 children who she taught music to and 2 of my aunts were church organists. My dad was also very good on the piano. My youngest sister inherited that talent. Me? Not so much.

I haven't seen any answers yet. I came up with two but would like to know others.
My two were Ralph Stanley - "From Father to Son" and the Osmonds - Down Our Way".
