My wife and I will be in Iceland for 7 days starting September 1st of this year. While there I was hoping to schedule 3 or 4 one day guided photo trips out and back to Reykjavik. I'm looking for recommendations of firms that will provide that manner of service. Or recommend how a computer challenged individual can go about finding such a firm on his own. Thanks for any suggestions.

Have a look at Thor Photography https://www.thor-photography.com/the-south-coast He has great work and have followed his social media for a while. Worth reaching out at least. Otherwise, maybe others can give a first hand recommendation here. Have fun!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely check it out.

I agree with the suggestion to check Thor Photography, but I have him booked for a 9 day tour starting Sept 1 for a photo tour I organized for Serge Ramelli. Another good choice is Arctic Shots. Bragi there offers altitude of one day and multiple day tours.

I cannot help with your specific question, but I was in Iceland in January and got so many great pictures! Be prepared to store more pictures than you think you’d ever take, then double that. Also, it was the windiest place ever, be prepared to not be able to stand still on your own for pictures - like heavyweight tripods if you are doing northern lights long exposures.

I’ve traveled several times to Iceland and Greenland with https://arcticexposure.is/tour/higlands-north-iceland-photo-workshop/ Never disappointed.

I did a 7 day personal tour with Pall Jökull photography. Pall Jökull was great, and the trip absolutely awesome. Planning to go back next year.

I strongly recommend Fridrik Bjarnason, owner of Eskimos (www.eskimos.is), which manages a wide range of tourist outdoor adventures, including photo tours. Great service.

Although you intend to rely on a commercial tour guide with a fix itinerary tailored to photography, I recommend this coffee table book on Iceland. The book is comprehensive and encompassing Iceland’s photogenic spots and I trust it will give you an idea what they look like, hope some will be included in the itinerary.

I did a 8-day self-guided road trip around the country many years ago and found the experience unforgettable. And I bought the book as a souvenir.

Thank you. I will look at Arctic Shots. I wish I had more time there. I'm thinking of the 7 days we have there I'll take 2 or 3 one day tours. Just need to figure out which ones are the most spectacular and cry out ICELAND.

Thanks for the heads up. I have two tripods. One is light weight for traveling and the other a much heavier one. I hope it isn't too windy. Probably won't do northern lights.

After reviewing what they offer I can see why you're never disappointed. Loved their itinerary, but longer than I have time for. Thanks for the suggestion.

I noticed he offered one and three day tours which work best for my situation. Thank you so much for your suggestion. He had great reviews.
