Yes, as far as cities go it’s a gem, or at least used to be. But today, I would not dare to walk around. It’s just simply dangerous. Really nice image.

Excellent shot and very nice view. SF is also one of my favorite cities. Much better before the current political mess.

I've been to San Francisco more times than I can count over the past 40+ years. Some people love the development that has occurred. Some people hate it. Regardless, your picture is really outstanding. Do I detect the support wires of the Golden Gate Bridge in the foreground?
Yes .., I shot through the support wires .., I was 100 yards back of the bridge …

Been there, but never got a shot like that. Very nice.

Very nice capture. If only the mayor would cleanup the city and bring it back to what it used to be.
Excellent photograph of this beautiful city. The lighting is perfect for this capture.

There are still elements of the old, charming city to be found, but over the years, the traffic has become unbearable, and the situation with the homeless has become unbearable in certain sections of the city. Another thing that has challenged the charm is that there has been so much building of skyscrapers and other high rise buildings. Gentrification has long been a problem in forcing out working class people.
But I still go there once in a while to eat or see a show. It's still mostly worth it.
As far as the picture goes, even though some of those high rise buildings I mentioned are visible, the photo itself is gallery worthy. Really outstanding.
That's a great vantage point for some nearly original views of eh Golden Gate--the waterway---not the bridge. Of course, you got the bridge, and lots of unique views of the Headlands. The fort and the deteriorating bunkers of the old fort are interesting, too. I got to take aa full day workshop there once back in the last Century.
This place proves the point that if more than a 5 minute walk is involved, preferably flat, 70% of the people will pass it by.
For a City visitor with a car, this site is an easy photo outing requiring about 5 hours door to door from a Financial District hotel. Great at sunset, get there, shoot the golden hour, carefully start at the top of the cliffs, and work your way back to the car as the light fades. If a non photog companion is along, drop him or her in Sausalito for "touristing", shopping and drinking. Join them for dinner and then drive back to the Hotel.
