Reflections on Pond Reflections

This image was shot on a somewhat breezy afternoon, looking north at the trees and sky reflected in this small pond. Color balance, saturation, and contrast, were all manipulated rather willy-nilly, and finally, I flipped it upside down, for a result I liked. The autofocus, of course, picked up on the ruffles on the surface of the water, leaving the trees themselves out of focus at f/16. All comments - positive, negative, and otherwise - are encouiraged.

Good that you upended it. The shapes are more distinct at the currently upper edge and it feels just right that as my gaze moves downward it becomes less distinct. I tried viewing it the other way around and it doesnt feel right with the more distinct shapes at the bottom.

While I do like staring at it, I still cant help wanting something to happen. I wanna toss a rock to add some circles.

I like it. The flipping was a good touch.

You know what? I really like this shot. Good instinct on flipping it over. The viewer knows it is a reflection but not quite sure what exactly. If I were to hang this on a wall, I wonder if separating it into threes as a triptych? And ponder the matting, framing issues. Regardless, very nice image.

Thanks so much. A bit of circles would be nice.

Sublime color harmonies latent within...
The ruffled water surface's reflections bares witness to induced rhythmic harmonic vibrations propagated so beautifully in vivid color across this pond... Mother Nature's waveform oscilloscope...

It is the wind's frictional drag on the water's surface tension that likely induced rhythmic harmonic vibrations.

Thank you for sharing...
