Anyone nerdy enough besides me to get on Excel and make a neutral density conversion chart based on variable shutter speeds for 1,3,6, and 10 stop filters ? reduced to small card to eliminate having to plug values into a calculator. Just going through some stuff and came across one I did. When one has IDLE time on one's hands.
Why go through all that effort. It's a simple matter of knowing the factor each filter has and applying that.

Yeah, I know, it was just something I did to easily look at the entire picture and jiggle possibilities in my head... Something I did when I first got interested in ND... I was doing waterfalls and I wanted certain shutter speeds , so this allowed me to jiggle ISO and shutter to get what I wanted. I think they call it learn by doing... sometimes maybe not the most efficient.
I do some of that "learn by doing" too.

Yeah, as I told bob, it was just a visual to see the whole picture of possibilities at once as I was doing waterfalls and looking for specific shutter speeds... Glad you posted, as the one I was looking at was a printout from excel on a windows file I don't have anymore.

Do you have a cellphone? If so, try Photopills app. I think it's around 10 bucks but has everything you need to plan a photo outing plus specific pills in the app for nd conversion, dof, hyperfocal. Or even Lee filters has a free downloadable app. I don't know if it's updated anymore, but mine only has 6 or 10 stop conversions. Just turn a dial eazy peazy.
