Very nice, I haven't seen any spoonies up here in Carrollwood(about 15mi north of MacDill) in a few years now!

Thank you, cloudhopper. You haven't seen ANY?? That's strange, we have noticed a pretty significant drop in numbers from when we were here about eight years ago. Particularly here in the golf course lakes on MacDill. But we have seen a lot of them up around Lake Apopka the last two years while we "sheltered in place" for Covid.
What do you think about the perspective on these? Does the deep foreground with the reflections distract from the "main subject", the birds?
I know the exposure is wrong for the white birds, but that's not the focus of this post.

Good set Chief.

Thanks, angler. I appreciate it. What do you think about the perspective? Do the reflections in the deep foreground distract from the photo? Add something? I know that the exposure for the whites is off.

Different and interesting set Dennis, I prefer them without the reflections, they take your eyes away from the pretty spoonies.

Thank you, Sylvia. That's the kind of input I was looking for. I appreciate it!

I agree that these appear to be half and half shots (above and below the waterline). That adds interest. However, for viewing the beautiful bird, I find it distracting. All in all, they are very nice shots!

Thank you, Carol. I appreciate your input! Maybe I'll keep the next ones like this and copy them. Then I'll be able to crop the copies at the bottom and have both!

On the golf course, MacDill Airforce Base.
A different perspective compared to my first post on this subject.
Sometimes it takes a hammer to the side of the head to see what is right in front of me.
I really like these but I'm soliciting input just to see if I'm crazy!
It won't hurt my feelings if you don't like them...well, maybe it will. But I can handle it.

Cool

I love the framing on the first one. The reflection of the plants against the dark water is arresting!
