Yesterday I experimented with putting a ladder up behind the centerfield fence to primarily catch the batters head on. It turned out I was also able to catch the outfielders from a different perspective as well. Here are some images from the game that stood out for me.

I paired my Z9 with the 100-400 f4-5.6 with the 1.4 TC. Images were shot in shutter priority at 1/3200th, auto ISO capped at 500 and aperture as calculated.

I thought the images came out a little soft, but considering some were around 300' ok. Plus nothing a little post processing sharpening and cropping couldn't help!

Looks as if the ladder will be another accessory for next week's game, too!

The outfield was/is my favorite place from which to shoot. You can get such good shots at the plate like you’ve captured here!

Rick these shots are great. Good idea with the ladder. You are climbing the ladder of success.
Do you use Topaz Denoise or sharpening?
Good stuff.

She did. Lesson number one when I was taught how to bunt was fingers BEHIND the bat!!!

Thank you, Jules. In regards to which Topaz product, for these I did some basic work in LRC and then ran them through Sharpen just to touch them up a bit. It seems LRC can get me really close these days, and I have been using Sharpen more than Denoise. Probably if I had not seen what Topaz does I would have stopped after LRC. But once I crossed that bridge, it seems there is no going back! LOL!

Excellent shots Rick. You captured the ball nicely while filling the frames. Paul

Gotcha. I run mine through Topaz Denoise clear, cleans them up too even with a 100 iso. Just a ump of clarity.
