I've been a major Pink Floyd fan since the 1960's and yes, a lot of their earlier stuff was heavily influenced by the drug influenced mind of Roger K. Barrett, aka Syd. Barrett's close friend David Gilmour easily took over as the sound of Pink Floyd, because he heavily influenced the work of his childhood friend, Barrett. Barrett had a thing for American Piedmont style Blues and particularly two American Blues musicians, Pinkney Anderson and Floyd Council, and he had several of their records in his collection.
Which one is Pink? Obviously, Pinkney "Pink" Anderson is Pink.
In their 18 years together as a band, Roger Waters and David Gilmour never really got along well because Waters was one of the original founders and he felt he should have more influence over the band as he was the front man and Gilmour was just the lead guitar, when in fact Gilmour was a far better musician than Waters and a nicer person. There are only maybe a few dozen people who can handle guitars as Gilmour can and Roger Waters is definitely not one of them.

I understand your thoughts but I try not to be offensive even if I see something that doesn't appeal to me. We all have a common interest in photography and we all have our own OPINIONS of what is and what is not good photography. It never hurts to be courteous...and, as you pointed out, we all have the option to NOT view the postings of others and put them on your ignore list if you think their work is garbage.
