Yes and I just spotted one on the auction from one of the Japanese stores in 'mint' condition for $250.

Hmm, in Nov 2010 I paid $1200 for my D7000. Maybe a great deal then to buy that mint condition one for $250?
I took some nice pics with that D7000:

I just recently snapped the body cap onto our copy as my wife is now using the D7100 and I've got plenty of toys to keep me busy, so the poor ol' D7000 has given us both so many good shots over the years and is probably headed for auction as well. I do believe you're fortunate to be here telling us about yours judging by that kitty cat's chop licking display. I hope that was a long, long lens.

My D7000 was no where in "pristine" condition (showed the many years of use it had in tough places) so gave it to my "kids" a number of years ago. The lens was 300mm, I would put on a TC when light was strong enough but this one did not have the TC so presumably cropped a fair amount. The jaguars are on the river banks while we are in a boat so they would have to leap across the water to get to us. So "probably" safe but they are impressive creatures with huge teeth and jaws (saw one kill a capybara right in front of us):
