Painting With Light

Out the other night with a shooting friend of mine in downtown Nashville. We were practicing our lightpainting skills in Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park. Long exposures are a form of Digital Artistry. I basically had my camera set to bulb and when my friend started painting with the light I left it open for about 7 secs.

Lots of scope there, and an energetic friend is certainly a bonus with this type of shot. You’re off to a good start for sure.

Thanks, it's certainly a work in progress. It was just fun getting out and shooting the other night. I haven't done that in awhile.

Ok, lets see if I understand. So your friend was behind the sculpture waving lights around. And it was dusk about 9pm. Right?

Actually my friend was walking around the globe with the light but he doesn’t so up because it was a long exposure. It was around 8pm

These are really neat. I’ve done light painting before, but never around an object. I like this a lot.
