I thought about the social tension that existed when the KKK were in there heyday and how that contrasted with our man depicted here, standing relaxed, ice cream in one hand and the other in his pocket whilst he read about what mankind can do to each other. It doesn’t seem to bother him too much, perhaps that’s why we don’t learn from history?

Thanks for elaborating, I didn’t have that reaction. You’re are correct, our species doesn’t seem willing to learn from the past.
