It never fails. Every time we have a family get together and I try to get a group photo, ( Easter in this case) this sort of thing happens.

This was supposed to be of my grandson with his aunt. My poor wife is sitting at the table. Her expression is exactly how I was feeling.

This was the best of the bunch!

It’ll be great when shown within a series over time. Just gotta be really patient!

Oh, yeah! We all had a blast. We have one big and happy family. I hope you had a good Easter, Jo. Oh, and by the way, I was at a horse farm today and one could just smell all the money.

Glad you had a good Easter. Bet those cute little guys are cute big guys now!!!

My favorite saying is: "If you want to wind up with a small fortune on horses, start with a large fortune."
I hope you took pictures!!!

I think we've all been there. Great story telling with this effort.

It was a fun day, Vicki. We are so lucky to have such a large and interesting family. The kids are kind of like the Brady Bunch - only with knives.

Hahaha! They say every good photo should tell a story. Yours certainly does that. I like it.

"group photo" While I understand your frustration...
Maybe migrate to "Lifestyle" Editorials... A.K.A. Behind the scenes.

Ask any participate in a Wedding Event what they are least thrilled about?
"Group Photos" is typically at the top of their list.

There actually as been a major shift in that paradigm to "Non-Invasive" behind the scenes editorials...
For an Easter Diner the Table setting might be an EZ shot... Please consider just capturing serendipitous moments.

Much lower stress...at least in my humble estimation.
Thank you for documenting the trials and tribulations of a shooting disparate groups of individuals.

Thank you Thomas for commenting. I always enjoy your input. Actually, these kind of shots are my favorite. They are spontaneous and fun. With our family, it is pretty easy. It is a rather large and loving family whose origins are an interesting story in itself. Thank you!

Tom
