FINALLY wrapped up processing the rest of the events from the track and field event - womens' events. All shot with the Z9, 100-400 f4.5-5.6 S lens, shutter speed of 1/1000 - 1/1250, auto ISO as camera calculated and lens as open as it allowed. Final tally of 18 events covered! Phew!

Thanks, Tom. I'm no spring chicken (66!) with achy knees myself. LOL! But I have begun to accept I can't get down low as I used to. Well maybe it is better to say I can't get UP like I used to! I also found a small, lightweight folding stool to use at some events. But it is fun. I had 5 events the first day, 10 the second and 3 the third. But on the third day I shot VB after track. I still have to work on those images so I'll post some when they are done!

Really good, crisp action captures!
Just an observation - in an effort to fill the frame, we get a smidge too tight on the crop. Some action shots need a little bit more room to ‘breathe’.

Good point. I can see where the relay hand off could benefit by having more room. I was so focused on showing the baton I didn't consider the big picture! Thanks! I'll keep that in mind in future images.

Rick - these are outstanding. I especially like #2 - captured just before she landed ! Crisp, tack sharp and filled the frame. Thanks for sharing again. Paul
