In a new subdivision a couple of Monday's ago, 3 houses under construction caught fire early in the morning. It started with the middle home and then spread to 2 adjacent houses. It was pretty windy and and people were surprised that it did not spread further. This was in a long cul de sac and there was 1 occupied home right next to all of the action. The fire department kept spraying that home so that it would not burn. Of course those people made it out safely.

No cause has been determined as of yet. Construction workers burn little fires in front of these homes all of the time for various reasons and perhaps one of these fires was not extinguished properly after use and embers could have been the ignition source. Arson can not be ruled out either. I found burnt embers from this fire many blocks away. Being a neighborhood that is still mostly in the infant stages of raw construction and with the high winds, it could have been a disaster.

In this neighborhood, the homes start at $900,000.00 up to 2,2 million: mostly on .28 acre lots. There is one house nearby that sold for 1.9 million and was only 39 feet away from the house next door to it that went for 1.6 million. Really? If I has that kind of money, you bet I would have some land to go with it and some major separation from any home nearby.
