The Patrick Owens covered bridge outside and within.
Found these in my bridge search.
Council Bluffs, Iowa. A sculpture project towering over the South 24th Street bridge in Council Bluffs is supposed to be symbolic of man, machine and transformation -- a modern relic repres entative of an area with rich agricultural history.

Arched bridges are very strong, Fred Ann
This Nelson Hollow Covered Bridge is no longer in service! The oldest covered bridge in New Brunswick and with a cottage roof. They took their safety seriously and posted the consequences if one drove faster than a walk! Twenty dollar fine for driving on this bridge faster than a walk!"

Yes, and they are very beautiful. built by Scottish stone workers here many years ago. I have one more to post when I find the picture. Thanks again.
One more arched stone bridge. The Vespra Crossing Stone Bridge. first we had walked down the railroad tracks to find the location of this bridge, but the flat crossing was no place to take the picture from and the embankments were too steep and rugged to slide down to see the beautiful arched bridge so we had to backtrack and walk up the creek to the bridge!
Built of stone, in the time period before bridges were made of iron and steel, the keystone, seen at the center top of the arch, held the bridge together, making these stone bridges very strong
I found out that growing up in the sixties was a lot more fun than being in my sixties. And being in my 70's sucks.

from the archives. The soft focus on the Sagamore bridge shot is what happens on a bumpy road when taken through the windshield
