For those following this restoration, this 9 minute video shows a bit more work being done on the ship..the new decking is being done in the saloon deck where the first class cabins will be reconstructed as they were in the day.
My particular task at the moment is photographing all our collections of artifacts as they all need to be cataloged. It's a big task as there is an official way this needs to be done. Along with the photograph of each item, there are two A4 pages of details that need to be filled in on each item...the pics and information, apart from copies for our own records, will be kept in the State Library.
This means that in 100 years people will look at them and say, "Gee, Ron took those photos"...LOL

Thanks for looking Poul...

Great video and stills Ron. It's good to see progress is still being made. If there is a way to contribute to the project you should post the information you should post it. I'm sure some of us HOGS would be willing to help.

Thank you Jack, we have some really wonderful sponsors and get by fairly well but I'll run your idea through Peter, our director.

Just remembered Jack, here is a link to our web site and there is a Donate link there with all the details needed to make a donation. So if any Hogs are interested, go for it.

Thanks for the link, Ron.
Thanks for this on-going information. It's interesting to see the evolution of techniques used to construct a ship of that era, iron frame work (new technology) with wooden overlay (old technology).
