In todays world of political strife, environmental changes and now the ugly threats of war it is really necessary to know and learn about the wonderful other aspects of life on this planet.

Great attitude and philosophy, Bill. I feel very much the same. I am a few years younger (75 this year) and have many sites for photography on my bucket list that I may never get to see. Thank you for sharing your photos and please, keep on posting.

Welcome! And I also will never get to all the amazing places to photograph but will every day look at the beauty around all of us. Photographs, snapshots in particular are taken because of circumstances like being somewhere unexpected or time of days, lighting, impromptu subjects, etc. The results may or may not be of planned studio quality or even taken with the right settings, It matters little if it adds to your inner catalog of remembrances.
I have countless numbers of these pictures backed up and sorted, stored on various hard drives. I do have redundant copies of the drives because of the nature of media failure when you least expect it to happen. I try to check the storage drives at the start of each month.
Some day in the future, I do hope someone will review these drives to see what I saw as important enough to shoot and save. It might be some sort of inspiration to continue the practice of inner development!

At 84, my attitude is about the same, but I have moved to a place with very few photo ops. It's OK because I am not a good photographer, but I am an artist of the paint and brush kind, sell a lot of artwork and some photos as well, so I have never known what "bored" means. Welcome to the group. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your work.
