Local colleagues of mine at the Lehigh Valley Photography Club (LVPC) highly recommended this blog last night. So I registered today and look forward to connecting with fellow photographers, share knowledge, experiences and opinions.
I'm president of the LVPC which is an active regional club of about 275 members. I've been a serious photographer for the last 10 years and I'm just beginning to do some professional work in portraits and events. I also do some volunteer photography work for some non-profit groups in the region.
I'm predominant a digital photography using Canon DSLR equipment but will likely bring in at least one mirrorless camera in 2022. I also have reinitiated doing some B&W film photography and development but using a scanner, digital photo processing rather than an enlarger and darkroom. It's been great fun and still has some "magic" within this medium. The images have a quality that are hard to create with purely digital photography.

Hi Bob! Mike here from Nazareth. I too have been a member of the LVPC but let it lapse when Covid hit. I will be joining again in the near future. Welcome aboard to this site. I have been on this site for several years now and find there is a wealth of talent and informed members that are more than willing to help with any photo questions and with almost any life situations as well. There is one section called General Chit-chat where you can ask almost anything or post almost anything except politically charged comments. These posts are posted or by admin shuffled off to a section called "The Attic". On some subjects is also good to have a thick skin as some people on here like to harass others. Anyway welcome to the "Hog", have fun and I will likely see you in an upcoming meeting of the LVPC.

Graduated from Nazareth H.S. in 1953. Served USNavy 1954-57. Live now in Wyoming and while photography is a retirement activity, have slowed recently, with many 35mm and now digital images that capture time, places and people.
