B+W ND filters

Hello Hogs,
This is my first post on this forum.
The B+W ND filters have a problem above about 10 stops whereby they underexpose the scene. I have had some
experience where they way overexpose below 10 stops. Has anyone used these filters and experienced these same problems?
Thanks,

I am not sure of the question. Are you saying you are adjusting your exposure based on the stops on the filter or based on the metering on the camera?

Hi Greg,
Thanks for answering.
I was trying to say that the images I got were very blown out even when set according the times on my ND calculator. However, I screwed up. On my ND calculator the exposure time is reported in minutes, seconds and milliseconds at least below about 10 stops. Above that they are as you might be used to as hours, minutes and seconds. With 3 and 6 stop filters I misread the time listed in seconds as minutes and hence the overexposure.
I say that so you do not make the same mistake. With these calculator apps, check the units when the times are reported.
Thanks,

Problem solved. I do find that they add a mild red/rose/magenta color cast to the image.

Try this app for android phones. It will let you set what ND filter you have. Makes calculations very easy.
